Trick or Treat
So I tried to get up enough energy to go Trick or Treating with the kids, bad idea for many reasons but I was soo glad I got to see how much fun they had. I didn't interact really with my family because I wanted to keep my distance, and we didn't stay long to socialize after trick or treating. Grant ran from house to house for about a half hour and then got tired, sat in the stroller for a little and sat on dads shoulders for a little. Lucie had a blast and tried to eat all of the candy right after she got it. It was a beautiful day but gets a little cool toward the end so they were both dressed in layers. But they had a blast. In the one picture I kept telling Grant to look at me so I could take apic and he thought he was sooo funny because he was looking at me through his legs upside down. Just an update, went for more blood work on Monday and my mono is worse, so we will have a lot of pics from around the house coming. Enjoy!!

Early Christmas and Movie night.
Last year during our snowiest day we decided to have a movie night. Ever since then, we will have a movie night where we get our softest blankets, popcorn, juice, and a new movie we haven't seen-at least for a while. This time it was Over The Hedge. It was such a blast, and the kids absolutly love it.
I also decided to give Grant his BIG Christmas present today. We bought him a Kettcar for Christmas and tried to hide it. Our son saw it three times by accident and then today he told me we couldn't go in the shed because his super fast racecar was in there and he was going to get it for Christmas. He can't know what his BIG present is so I caved and gave it to him!
Church Halloween Party
As I was getting the kids dressed last night for the church Halloween Party I realized that even though I didn't want to, I made the right decision as a parent. I wanted all of us to go as the Wizard of Oz. Grant would be the lion, Lucie the Good Witch, Josh the scarecrow and myself Dorothy. From the beginning Grant was dead set on being Spiderman, even though he has never seen Spiderman and doesn't own a spiderman toy. So I decided to let him be spiderman. He was sooo excited since the first minute I put his costume on. He was jumping around the house being such a proud little spiderman. Then when I painted a web on his face he stared in the mirror and admired how cool he looked. Lucie was easy, she was just a ballerina, which she enjoyed as well.
After I got the kids ready, and they left, it really hit me that I wouldn't be going. The house was sooo quite, and I got sad at the thought that I wasn't there to see how excited they got. Grant did win the cake walk, and Josh took some pictures.
Grant-who has a heart of Gold-came home and I told the kids I missed them, to which he said, "momma next time I stay home with you" how do you not cry to that. I then told him "No honey next time I will go with you" and he said "yeah momma then it will be really fun". Anyway, enjoy the pics!

First day of School.
I love Fall.
This entry has taken me soo long to figure out how to write in between pics and that you have to put the last pic first, but anyway. I absolutly love the fall, it is so fun. I love it when it goes from hot to cool and you can open your windows at night and then soon after that the leaves start to fall and you can jump in big leaf piles. All the neighbor kids were scootering and flying into the leaves so Grant tried it. He scootered up to the end, walked off his scooter and over to the leaves and then jumped in. It was really cute.
Then on Sunday we carved our pumpkins, so we woke up. Took a shower, put make-up on a semi cute shirt and sweatpants. The kids also wore a cute shirt and sweatpants(don't kid yourself, as soon as we were done, makeup came off, hair went up and I took a nap), but anyway we had a lot of fun carving pumpkins. I still messed up the order of pictures so oh well. We let the kids draw their faces on first and then I cut them while daddy made his bat masterpiece. Lucie refused to touch the inside of her pumpkin and Josh made her so she started to scream.

Busy but not so busy week!
Well, this has been a horribly difficult week for us. I found out Thursday I have Mono, which of course two very energetic kids don't understand, and I know I never had a clue till I got it either. Then my docotor called about 5 minutes ago and told me I have pneumonia also. We have tried to make the best of it, but with the Holidays coming up it is hard. Even though I am a little under the weather the kids have tried to entertain themselves, and maybe even take advantage of mommy in her momment of weakness. Lucie colored on Grant therefore in fairness Grant colored on Lucie, and they both dressed in boxes and paraded around the house. Josh has stayed home from work a day and a half this week to help out and tomorrow we are carving our pumpkins and making Halloween cookies!! Very excited about that.
