Family Home Evening!!

For those of you who don't know what Family Home Evening is every Monday night we play a game or do an activity as a family. This week we went to catch Crawdads at the Milwaukee River with Josh's fishing friend and his family. Apparently crawdads enjoy fat because we had to go to the local butcher and BUY FAT!! A bit odd to me, but we did it. Then we got to the river and I misunderstood my husband and wore flip flops so I didn't go in. The kids did, Grant loved it, and Lucie was a little indifferent about it but that didn't stop her from playing in the mud. Overall we had a great time!!

Racing Fun!

So the end of last week I got gas at a new gas station and they had a grand opening so I got to spin a wheel and win a prize, I won two tickets to Slinger Speedway(a local 1/4 mile racetrack). So we went with the kids and my dad and David went along. We had lots of fun! The kids had never seen anything like it, Grant kept waiting for the "Batman" car-I don't know why he thought Batman was racing last night but unfortunatly we did not see it!!

Soo Proud of Grant(and myself)!!

This week Grant finally started to ride his big boy bike he got for Christmas!!


I wrote Grants name on a piece of paper and he copied it down soo good. This is the first time he ever wrote his name.


When Josh was little his mom made him a car mat with all of his favorite places on it so I decided to make the same thing for Grant. I put all of his favorite places on it. Some of them include Grandma and Grandpa's house with their dogs Emma and Pixie, Aunt Erika's house, the Zoo, a few parks and more. I am very proud of myself because I am not an artist and it actually came out really cute. I just have to add church in the empty square and put Farmer's Market on it!!

Lucie's Head

Last week Lucie tripped over a cord and hit her head on a dumbell. It was horrible. It was soo big I thought her skin was going to split open, I took two pics, one right after it happened and the other one was about 12 hours later!

Fun at the Park!!

We welcomed Alana home from a month long of out West dance camp and we all went to the local park which is a favorite. It was a lot of fun!!

State Fair

We took the kids to the state fair and it was really fun. They got to look at the animals and rode a tractor. We walked around and looked at lots of different stuff!
On the way down we rode the Commuter Bus which the kids loved!
