Always Something!!!

So last tuesday Lucie got a mosquito bite on her back. Overnight it turned into two bites, by Friday it was a bunch of little red bumps on her back and it started to wrap around to the front. So I take her to the doctor!! His diagnosis is........

Chicken Pox-that is just great. He said she wasn't at the contagious point on Friday so she could dance on Saturday if it looked the same, and it did so she danced. He said it isn't all over because she got her immunization for it so it is just a mild case!! By Monday it is contagious and she can't go to school all week, so bless my moms heart she is keeping her so I can still work.

Then Saturday night I notice a splinter in her foot, I tried to take it out and couldn't, by Sunday night she was limping. So Monday morning I take her in AGAIN to the doctor to take out her splinter. He numbed it and tried for five minutes to get it out first with tweezers and then he used a scalpel to cut it out. It was so deep that it kept bleeding too much for him to take it out, so he called the nurse it. So I held her down, the nursed wiped the blood and the doctor took it out!! She kept saying "no mommy stop", it was really sad. In the end it turned out to be sliver of metal, I have no clue where she got that. She now has a little hole in her foot!

It was soo horrible they gave her a little bear!!

I was able to take the kids fishing with Josh this weekend and got a cute picute of Grant fishing!!

Lucie's Dance Recital!!

Yesterday was Lucie's dance recital!! I was soo nervous all day/or week for that matter. Dance is an expensive thing and I didn't even think she would get out on stage! Before her "Baby Face" transition she showed me a few moves!!

Then I got her ready and her cousin Ava came over because my brother didn't think Ava would have an easy drop off if they did it.

She was soo excited to have makeup on!

then in the car they went!

And then I dropped them off, and waited. They got dropped off at 5:30 and they didn't dance until 7:40. It was such a long wait. But my oh so talented sister was in ALOT of dances so it made time go much quicker!!
It was finally her turn and she did great. She got out on stage, danced, and waved to everyone when she was done!!!!

We got a group picture of Talitha, Alana, Havi, Lucie and Ava!!

We finally got home at 9:45, and Lucie was beat-she just layed there on the couch, she was such a trooper!!

In a couple of weeks or months when the video gets handed out I will post the video, it is adorable!! Josh-who was never a fan of dance and thinks it is way to expensive(which it is), even said the he wouldn't mind if Lucie kept doing it!!

Beautiful

So I was cleaning the house and Lucie went in the bathroom and started to put my make-up on!! She wasn't doing that bad-at least she did the same design on each side of her face!!!

Dress Rehersel

Lucie has her first dance recital on Saturday so yesterday was her dress rehesel. She was soo cute. Grant even said"mom Lucie is so pretty", it was sweet. Alana is her teacher, and also in the recital and her cousin Ava is in her class. Before we went I had my little sister Alana help get her ready.

Then we went to the park for some pics.

After that she went to the studio for her dance class.

Our first camping trip with the kids!!

We planned a fun camping trip with the kids. We got everything ready, took the kids shopping for s'more stuff, got them really excited and then mother nature stepped in!! We have gotten soo much rain(it is the second week of June and we already broke our june rainfall record). In the past week Josh has been in the stairwell at work twice because of tornados, and there is more coming!! I worked four 10 hour days this week and took today off for camping. We had to cancel our camping trip because of the weather that is coming and the fact that EVERYTHING is flooded!! I attached a picture of our backyard, it is a dark picture but if you can make it out it is a HUGE puddle of water, bigger then most swimming pools!!

Our basement also flooded, so I spent most of this morning cleaning that, and while I was cleaning it I found the old school nintendo. So I set it up to a little TV we don't use anymore and Grant loved it, but who doesn't love Duck Hunt!!!

Big boy!!! Big Biker!!!

About two weeks ago Josh decided Grant was ready for a two wheeler bike. He had heard on the radio that this was a great way to teach it. First you take off the training wheels and peddles. You then let them push off with their feet and just balance for little bit, after they get the hang of it you put the peddles back on. It is as easy as that!! I of course was skeptical. But I let him do it, why not. After two weeks Josh put his peddles back on and sure enough off he went. Never fell once!! He did sooo good!!
THANKS HONEY, IT WAS A GREAT IDEA AND WORKED WONDERFUL!!

THEN after three days with no training wheels and no tragic falls, he fell. Right on his face. He skinned up his cheek, chin and a finger!! We put ice on it and the next day he got back on his bike for another ride on his big "TWO WHEELER". He is sooo proud of himself!!

Our new Pet!!

Our kids have been dying for a pet, more along the line of a dog-but since we rent we can't go the dog route, so we got the next best thing!!!!!! GERBILS!!!!! Yeah, the kids absolutly love them. I could do without any pet but Grant loves his "Gerbie". He named his grey one Scooby, and Lucie's black one was Daisy but it is Lucie and she thinks "Shaggy" is a good idea so we have a Scooby and Shaggy. Every morning we get up and come check on our "Gerbie". It is fun-even though I really dislike pets.

We brought them home in little boxes that I thought they were going to chew through and come get me in the Van!!

They had to setup the cage

And then it was all FUN!!!

It turned out beautiful BUT.....

The kids woke up and right away got their swimsuits on(6:00a.m.). I made them wait until 8 to go outside so it would warm up. By 8 o'clock it was 68 degrees, but that didn't stop us. I filled up the little pool and away they went. Lucie dumped the mud in the pool about 10 minutes after I filled it so we dumped it and did it again. The day actually was beautiful-it got up to the low 80's. We had Havi and T come over and they played outside for about 5 hours!!

Bad Morning

Sometimes you know right away that it may not be a good morning. A couple of days I woke the kids up for school, and brought them down right away and this is what I got!!

One little girl with her bum in the air!!

And one little boy who completely covered himself up!!
