Grant's 4th Birthday Party!!

Grant had his 4th Birthday Party, every year is a little more sad because my baby isn't so little anymore!! We decided that since my whole family belonged to the YMCA we would have cake and ice cream at our house and then all go over to the Y to swim, and play in the Gym. Grant had a blast. The pictures are of him and his cake, opening presents, having a water fight with uncle Blake(my brother), and we actually got a semi-cute family picture in the pool. Enjoy!!

Brrr....Is it cold or......

Well, the kids had off school today so Grants favorite person in the world came over..his cousin Havi. They were outside playing(not for long-but when you're 3 and 6 it doesn't take long to do much). When I heard Grant crying. I went to open the door and Grant is crying and he has snow all over his face/back/neck, etc. Of course I am thinking snowball fight and he lost. No-Havi hit him in the face with the shovel and it knocked him down into the snow. They both took it rather well. In the pics the one is of Grants face being cold and hit with the shovel, and when he warmed up I took another of just the shovel mark. I don't know if it is really visible. Kinda funny!!

Happy Birthday!!

To who you ask, well I don't know. My children however decided to throw a party for someone, and they invited their carebears to the party. They got out all my pots and some cans of food. They set out a party, their "friends" came, I think it may have been a sleepover. It was a good old time on my kitchen floor.

Earlier in the day Lucie stacked up all the cans on the little pop up toy and tried to get the cans to pop up. Grant's carebear had to go to the care bear "hospital"(grandma's house.) Because of a few minor rips. There is a picture of Grant running all over with the bear on his head. I have no wonder why the bear had to go to the hospital.

Lucie and her cousin(my brothers daughter) are in dance together-yeah lucky dance teachers(one of which is my little sister Alana) so I snapped a quick picture of them before dance started!!

Morning

Ever have one of those mornings. Tuesdays are the only day I work at the Ymca and it is a long day 7:45 to 4:15. So of course running just on time-I go to start the car-20 feet away, come back in and my daughter is wearing only undies sitting on the kitchen floor. Apparently she didn't like the outfit she was wearing. That put me about 5 minutes behind. And blogging it has put me another 5 minutes behind!!! Have a great day guys!!!

Circles in the snow and living room!!

So we were getting ready to leave this morning and Grant got out the shovel and started to shovel in a complete circle, he kept going around and around and the snow that he shoveled he piled up in the middle. Tonight I decided I would clean the carpets, so I moved most everything out of the room. Which to the kids meant-open gym. So they started running in circles and Lucie fell and hit her nose on the end of the couch. She got her first bloody nose. And she wanted to things. A kiss from Mom and a band aid-neither of which would actually help. But when you're a kid that is all you need!!

Too Big

Ever since Lucie was old enough to get attitude I have always told her that one day she will get too big to do stuff!! For example when she was little and at a daycare she would squeeze between the bars of the gate, etc. Well today we came home from dance and she went to the bathroom, I started making lunch and went to check on her because she didn't come out and she was sitting in the sink-a perfect fit-trying to put a band aid on her ouchie finger. Again I told her that one day she would be too big to sit in the sink!!

Pizza, Apology, and a REALLY fun game

I know that quite a few more people look at this then sign it. Most of which are far away and don't see us much at all. That is why I try to update my blog as much as possible. So if I do blog very similar to a past one I am sorry but I just try to put up as many recent pics as possible. I wasn't feeling well today and didn't want to make a real dinner so we made pizza instead. I do think we ate more cheese then what went on the pizza-mmm it was good.

Also for Family Home evening last night we played Disney BINGO(which has a dvd and you play along with the TV). If anyone is looking for a really fun family game this one rocks. Grant-who is almost 4 absolutly loves it!!

First Real Haircut

Lucie has already had her first official haircut-a bang trim. But this is her first real haircut and I decided that since she has very thin scragely hair that I would cut most of it off. So she now has a little bob cut that is right at her chin. It really looks nice compared to the scraggles, but I couldn't get a good pic, they all made her look bald because her hair is soo thin and white. Here are the best pics I could get!

Underwear

So having both kids potty trained is great. Having Lucie potty train herself in a week is even better. It does have its downfalls(with Lucie anyway)!!

1. SNOWPANTS-anyone who has raised a child in the snow knows that no matter how much they go potty before the snowpants go on-they ALWAYS have to go once they get on!

2. Every store we go in we have to go POO POO and we have to announce it to everyone we see on the way to the bathroom.

3. As soon as we announce we have to go Poo she starts to pull her pants down.

4. She is only 2 and already hates the "tights" thing with underwear.

5. Now that she doesn't need a swim diaper she went from 5 swim suits down to 2 because she is so little the leg holes are huge!

6. When she toots-everyone knows because she uses a very loud english accent to say "I tooted".

I am not complaining about her in undies, I still just think I am going sad because my "baby" is in undies!

Babysitting

After the Y we took baby Addisyn home with us for a little bit. Lucie loved this, we took her up to Lucie's room where she saw all of her toys and she was checked out to see if she was sick. Then downstairs Lucie laid next to her and sang her "You are my sunshine"-which is Lucie's favorite!! I forgot what it was like to have a baby around!! Much more time consuming then I remember!! I also added one more swimming picture because it is so cute and I forgot to put it in the last one.

Ymca

This morning my two sisters and I took the kids to the YMCA to go swimming, play on the rock wall and play air hockey(Grants favorite). The kids had soo much fun. My favorite picture is the one that looks like Grant is holding Addisyn by himself(which was not the case). It was Addisyn's first time swimming and she did great. Lucie and Grant both did a couple of bobs and then we had a choo choo train. We had a blast!!

Like Father Like Son

Whenever Grant gets tired he twirls his hair, but he does it by putting his arm around to the back of his head and then up. He will run/watch TV and play at Chuck E Cheese all while twirlling. Today we played Candy Land with the Twirl!! I am told that when Josh was little he would do the same thing!!

My Naptime-almost

So I never take naps, I am always doing something. Well last night I kept snoring so Josh kept waking me up to tell me to stop. So he finally kicked me out of bed and made me go sleep with the kids-so I am so tired/sore/etc. So I decided I would put both kids to sleep and take a little nap myself(I am a mom so after all I do deserve it.) Anyway I faught and faught to get the kids to sleep. No Luck therefor no nap. I just put the Care Bear Movie on for the kids to watch because I am making really yummy pork chops for dinner that are kind of time consuming. I look in the front room and Lucie covered herself up with her two favorite "Grankies" and fell asleep. Isn't that how it always goes!!!

ICE FISHING

These pictures are from the beginning of December. We all went ice fishing with daddy and the kids loved it. I got the kids all bundled up to go and we got out to the pond, then I realized that I was so concentrated on the kids that I wasn't wearing anything but a winter jacket. So everyone was fine but I was freezing. The kids had so much fun fishing, Grant was especially proud of his fish-it even got a little smooch before he threw it back!! Of course Lucie wouldn't leave her mittens on and everytime Grant threw a fish back his mittens would get wet-so it didn't last long, but it sure was fun!!
