Wisconsin Dells

Yesterday we took a little road trip over to the Dells(which is a big tourist town about 1 1/2 hours away)so we could go to a water park with my brother and his little girl Ava-who Lucie loves. It was kind of a long trip-both ways, and the kids didn't spend a whole lot of time in the water but they had soooo much fun. We can't wait to go as a family in Feb. Alana and Erika and her kids came with us.

First Snowfall

After we put up the Christmas Tree we sat down to play an intense game of The Backyardigans and realized it was snowing outside, and a GOOD snow. It had already covered the ground. The one sister missionary is from Hawaii so she was just amazed. It was kind of cool seeing how other people react to things that we take for granted and nowadays as an adult can be a pain to us(shoveling, etc.) But she laughed like it was the most amazing thing ever. It was really cool. We took the kids outside for a little snow eating, snowball fight and some good old first snowfall fun!!! Enjoy the pics!

Putting up the Christmas Tree

Today we had the sister missionaries over and we had them help us put up the tree, it was a blast. Of course as I always do I tried to take pictures, and the kids just wouldn't look at me. It was alot of fun though!!

Chuck E Cheese

We went to chuck e cheese and had a blast. Lucie was terrified of Chuck e. We had a couple of Family pictures taken. They turned out sooo cute. Grant ran around swiping his card and being such a big boy. He did spend most of his time at the spongebob racecar game. They won enouugh tickets to buy a couple of toys, which of course they forgot about by the time they got home. Enjoy the pics, it was fun!!! I even got Josh to go in the picture machine.

First Haircut!!

I know she didn't need a haircut, but she always asks when Grant goes so I decided to get her a haircut. We cut her bangs and 1 inch off the back to try and make it look less shaggy. She loved it. Grant also got a haircut and he always loves his!!

It is so fun staying home!

We went to church Sunday for the first time since I got sick and so Lucie didn't get to wear the Halloween dress that she had so she wore it on Sunday- a little late, but she didn't care and she was soooo cute!

I have been very fortunate to stay home with the kids as much as I have. I am so grateful to my husband who is gone so much so I can raise our kids. I do however think the main thing it has taught me is patience, a lot of patience. Today was a blast. I took Grant to school and then Lucie and I went to the Library-which they both love. We picked out some books, dvd's and a Dora computer game. Then we came home for a little and then went back to pick up Grant. When we all got home we played a game of Basket-hoop(what Grant calls basketball). Then we made a homemade pizza for lunch. We had a blast. I am feeling much better, I still get tired in the afternoon, but besides that I am doing great.

Ha Ha Ha

So Josh and both of the kids are sooo much alike, they tease all the time!! Last night for dinner I made a REALLY GOOD pumpkin cheesecake for desert, and Josh thought it would be soooo funny if he pushed Grants face down into it. Grant also thought it was hilariuos and couldn't stop laughing, so of course I took a pic.

Lucie is in the training for being a mom. She loves her baby that Grandma made her for Christmas last year. Today she took off her pj's, put on her dance shoes and dance backpack and danced around the house with her baby-it was really sweet. And then of course whenever mom mops/sweeps/vaccums, etc. She needs to help!!

Just a side note-grandma is making her an awesome Christmas present this year-you are just going to have to wait and see!!!

Here is the pumpkin cheesecake recipe-it is soooo good.

Sooo cute!

This weekend the kids were so cute. We ran a couple of errands, one of them we took a country road to get to. It curved and had hills. We were coming up on one of the bigger hills, and I hear Grant go "Lucie, Lucie, hold my hand thats a big hill" So they held hands all the way up the hill, it was soo sweet! Of course I had my camera so I took a picture.

Lucie is into pictures alot right now. She lines up anything that is matching and she'll say "Okay smile, cheese, yeah, good job, all done" Everytime she pretend to take a picture she says all the same stuff.
